Hello Beautiful Thinkers,
This song, “Friends in Low Places” by Garth Brooks, has been stuck in my head since I woke up this morning. It is probably my least favorite country song. For those that don’t want to listen to it, since that wasn’t a great way to sell it, it’s all about a man that shows up at an ex’s wedding and gives a toast about how over her he is. Which has never been a trope that I’ve liked. Don’t ruin someone else’s wedding. If you’re showing up to say I’m over you, you probably aren’t actually over them. If you’re showing up to stop the wedding and win the person back, you probably should have spoken up way sooner. Sorry about the little rant there. Point of the story being, for today’s prompt write a scene where your character can’t get an annoying song out of her head. Or if not a song can’t get someone else’s annoying words out of her head.
Keep Dreaming Beautiful Thinkers,
