Disappearing Because It Doesn’t Exist

Hello Beautiful Thinkers,

BBC Radio has posed a dramatization of Neil Gaiman’s Stardust. It’s only online for a limited time so move quickly on this one while it’s still available. There’s a part at the beginning where the narrator is talking about the world of Faerie and how it has grown. “Each land that has been forced off the map by explorers going out and proving it wasn’t there has taken refuge in Faerie.” I love this concept. A world where our myths go when they’ve been disproven. Take some time today to think about some things that have been proven not to exist in your character’s world. Was there a time when this thing was thought to be real by the masses? Is there a place where disproven things go in your character’s world? Write a scene where your character concerns herself with something that has been disproven.

Keep Dreaming Beautiful Thinkers,

The Boy In The Heart Shades
