Poetic Form: The Villanelle

Hello Beautiful Thinkers,

The villanelle is a poem with a very specific rhyme scheme that also features two lines that repeat throughout the poem. It works on an A/B rhyme scheme. I’ve got the rhyme scheme laid out for you below. The A(1) and A(2) as you may have guessed are the lines that you’ll be repeating. Commas separating lines and slashes separating stanzas.

A(1), b, A(2) / a, b, A(1) / a, b, A(2), / a, b, A(1), / a, b, A(2) / a, b, A(1), A(2)

Keep Dreaming Beautiful Thinkers,
