Poetic Form: The Pantoum

Hello Beautiful Thinkers,

The Pantoum is poem of quatrains with an interestingly specific pattern. The first quatrain uses an abab rhyme scheme. Past the first stanza lines 2 and 4 of a stanza will be repeated as lines 1 and 3 of the next stanza. There are two ways that poets  approach the last stanza of the poem. Some repeat lines 1 and 3 of the original quatrain as lines 2 and 4 in the final quatrain; others invert lines 1 and 3 so that the beginning line of the poem is also the final line of the poem. Check out this site for sample pantoums.
