Poetic Forms: The Palindrome

Hello Beautiful Thinkers,

The Palindrome is a form that is written the same way backwards and forwards, much like words of the same name. Punctuation can be different between the two halves. That way both halves make sense grammatically but it’s not a true palindrome if you change the order of the words or add extras to force something to make sense. The only word that won’t be repeated is the one directly in the middle. It is the turning point in the poem where you start using the words backwards.

Keep Dreaming Beautiful Thinkers,

The Boy In The Heart Shades
