Hello Beautiful Thinkers,
I finally read The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. It wasn’t my cup of tea. Holden Caulfield spends a good portion of the book thinking that he’s better than everyone else that he observes. He’s got his struggles seeing as he’s telling the story from a mental hospital but I can’t bring myself to feel bad for them when his narrative makes him sound so judgmental. Write about a character who thinks they know better than everyone else. Why does he act the way he does? Is he suffering from mental illness like Holden?
