Poetic Form: The Lune

Hello Beautiful Thinkers,

The Lune is similar to a Haiku as it was created by Robert Kelly out of frustration with writing in the Haiku style. He toyed with the form to the point of creating his own. His only rules to the form are the syllable count, which leaves all other aspects including subject matter open. The poem is a 13-syllable, self-contained poem that has 5 syllables in the first line, 3 syllables in the second line and 5 syllable in the final line. Try it out and see what you come up with.

Keep Dreaming Beautiful Thinkers,

The Boy In The Heart Shades
