Poetic Form: The Haiku

Hello Beautiful Thinkers,

Just in case you’re unfamiliar with the form, haikus are three lines long with a 5-7-5 syllable count for each line respectively. They are traditionally written about nature or natural things. But that isn’t a hard and fast rule these days. I had friends that would pass notes in class but they would only use the haiku form for each message they were writing. It was a cool idea, especially since we were in creative writing class if the teacher caught them she’d be more impressed by the form than mad about note passing. Anyway write a haiku or two of your own today.

Keep Dreaming Beautiful Thinkers,

The Boy In The Heart Shades
