It’s Better When We’re Miserable

Hello Beautiful Thinkers,

I watched Not Another Happy Ending mostly because I love Karen Gillan. As far as romantic comedies go it’s nothing ground breaking. Still I love a story about a writer. The concept of the movie is that the published thinks that his writer can only write when she is miserable and so he tries to ruin her life so that she can finish her book. And while the writer character makes an excellent point in the movie “you don’t write because you’re miserable. You do it because you have to. Because it gnaws away at your insides. Because if you don’t write you might as well be dead.” I think that there is something to the idea that we perform certain tasks better in different emotional states. Write about what emotional state your character works best in.

Keep Dreaming Beautiful Thinkers,

The Boy In The Heart Shades
