Hello Beautiful Thinkers,
It’s back again. National Novel Writing Month is upon us! The standard word count per day, for those that have never tried NaNoWriMo, is 1667. If you stick to that count by the end of November you’ll have a respectable length for a first draft. I’ve found two sample calendars to help motivate you all if you plan to participate. The first is just a word count calendar with the amount of words you should have done each day. The second has a sort of prompt-a-day idea going on. I think the second is a cool idea but it could be even more useful if you’ve already got your story outlined to break it into 30 scenes/sections that. Then, label each day of the calendar with a scene/section that you intend to complete. Find a way to organize things to make the work a little easier on yourself. If you’re not participating in NaNoWriMo, don’t worry I’ve still got a prompt for you. Write a scene where your character has plan an event. How long does it take to get organized? What problems does your character run into in the process? When is the event? What is the event for?
